Who is Forest?

Forest grew up playing on the dirt mounds at Basset Creek Park and eating at Sweet Taste of Italy. An alum of Cooper High School, Forest knows Crystal.

Forest worked as a park ranger with the Army Corps of Engineers and National Park Service, then went on to receive his master's degree from the U of MN in Natural Resource Sciences and Management. After graduating, Forest, his wife Jessi, and their dog Oslo bought a house in the Forest neighborhood of Crystal.

Forest currently works for the National Park Service as an outdoor recreation planning manager and is an at-large commissioner for the Crystal Parks Commission. With a passion for democracy, he has served as an election judge for every primary and general election since 2018 and currently serves as an assistant head judge.

Forest loves the diversity, freedom, and affordability that Crystal offers. But the best part of the city is its strong sense of community. It is rare to find a place where people know everyone on their block and businesses are owned by locals. By electing Forest, our city will continue to be a thriving community where all residents regardless of what they look like, what they believe, or where they came from can feel safe and prosper.
